Anthrax is caused by Bacillus anthracis bacteria and can infect humans through the skin, lungs, or digestive system. It commonly affects farm animals. Skin anthrax causes a painless sore or ulcer, while inhalation anthrax results in flu-like symptoms. Digestive anthrax causes abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. All forms can be treated with antibiotics such as penicillin, doxycycline, or ciprofloxacin. Anthrax spores have been used as a bioterrorism weapon, and up to 60% of untreated cases of some forms may result in death.

Anthrax
1.
2. Anthrax is from the bacteria
Bacillus anthracis.
It can be transferred by air, food,
and cut in the skin. Each with its
own symptoms and treatments.
Anthrax is found in farm animals.
3. Cut spread Anthrax will first cause a sore similar
to a insect bite. The sore will then turn into a
black ulcer. The sore is painless.
Air born Anthrax will cause fever, headache,
malaise, cough, short breath, and chest pain
Food spread Anthrax will cause abdominal pain,
diarrhea (bloody), fever, nausea, vomiting ( may
have blood), and mouth sores.
4. Cut based Anthrax will be treated with the
antibiotics: penicillin, doxycycline, and
ciprofloxacin.
Air born Anthrax will be treated with ciprofloxacin
and another drug.
Food spread Anthrax will be treated with
penicillin, doxycycline, and ciprofloxacin.
5. Anthrax is important because it
can and has been used as a
terrorist weapon. On 9/11 letters
were sent to a few people and
they contained a pounder version
of Anthrax.
6. 20% of people die from the ,cut based
anthrax, without antibiotics
Not enough information is available for the
air based anthrax but the death toll is
almost always death
25-60% of people die from the food based
anthrax
