3. What is cancer?
- Cancer is a group of diseases
involving abnormal cell growth with the
potential to invade or spread to other parts of
the body.
Location of larynx:-
-The larynx is a part of the
throat, between the base of the tongue and
the trachea.
4. Laryngeal cancer:
Laryngeal cancer occurs when normal cells
change and grow uncontrollably.
These cells form a cancerous tumor in the
larynx, which is located in neck
6. Cancer of the larynx is a malignant
tumor in the larynx or a voice box.
7. There are three types of laryngeal cancer ;
1) Sarcoma
2) lymphoma
3) Adenocarcinoma
Sarcoma:- Cancer of the connective tissue in
the
larynx.
lymphoma:- Cancer of the lymphatic tissue in
the
larynx.
Adenocarcinoma:- Cancer that starts in the
glandular cells of the larynx.
9. Due to etiological factors
(tobacco, smoking, age, gender etc.)
Carcinoma of the squamous cell lining of
the
larynx
Rapid metastasis of the carcinoma, due to
abundant lymphatic vessels, into lymph nodes
and larynx.

14. Give acute and intensive care to the patient.
Give medication to the patient at right time as
by doctors order.
Give psychological support to the patient.
Give prioprative and postoprative cre to the
patient if patient have surgery .
Give health education to the patient.
15. 1) Acute pain
2) infection
3) less intake of food
4) insomnia
5) Anxiety
16. 1) Acute pain related to cancer of larynx as
evidence by facial expression.
2) occure infection related to cancer of
larynx secondry to hospitalization evidence
by physical examination.
3)loss of appetite related to cancer of larynx
evidence by wight measurement.
4) insomnia related to hospitalization
secondary to cancer of larynx as evidence
by redness of eye.
5) anxiety related to high risk secondry to
cancer of larynx as evidence by facial
expression.
