  13. 13. THE 3RD R - RECYCLE To recycle something means that it will be transformed again into a raw material that can be shaped into a new item. It costs less to recycle an item than it is procure new raw material. Know what can be recycled and what cannot. Items meant for recycling should be thoroughly cleaned before they are deposited.

  15. 15. COMPOST: AN AWESOME IDEA RECYCLE YOUR KITCHEN WASTE INTO COMPOST Biodegradables are recycled into a form which can be reused in gardens. The need for artificial fertilizers is eliminated and biodegradable garbage is kept out of the landfills. FACT CHECK: 65 % of household waste can be composted!!
