Keep moving
You don’t need to come out of this in the best
shape of your life, but try to sneak in some
movement, even if it’s just a walk around the
block or this 10-minute yoga stretch.
Stick to healthy snacking
Lift energy and concentration levels with snacks
like these that make you feel great.

Expectations
Align on expectations
Communicate with your team and those you
work closest with. Understand what objectives
are the highest priority and be sure to
communicate with your leader and key
stakeholders.
Request flexibility if needed
Some times throughout your day will require
dedicated attention for your kids’ needs. You
may want to start early and finish early or take
longer breaks throughout the day and finish
later.

Set up an office space
Designate a space in your home to work. The
more routine the place of work, the more you
should be able to focus.
If possible (and sometimes it may not be), it will
be helpful to physically separate yourself from
your kids.

feeling your best!

10. Plan ahead as
much as
possible
Prepare meals in advance
Try preparing meals ahead of time so you don’t
have to spend too much time throughout the day
in the kitchen. You can find some great meal
prep recipes here.
Have a plan to stay safe
Make sure you’re making a family plan to
combat Covid-19. Use this free template derived
from the CDC to get started.

routine
Create a routine
At school and child care, kids know what to
expect. At home, things may be less clear. Try
creating a tentative schedule each day that
incorporates work and play. The schedule
should allow a few periods of work for you.

Make up a storyline, film a movie and edit it on
their devices.
Write a story
Let your kids get creative and write a story, then
have them illustrate it.
