Arthur hagopian & avetis hagopian photo observation

  1. 1. The Culture of Musicians Arthur Hagopian Avetis Hagopian
  2. 2. The Hallway to Triumph As we enter the building complex, we can not help but notice the eye-catching design and color of the hallway. As the Recording Artist begins to walk through this hallway, he/she releases all the negative energy held within, creating a positive state of mind where creativity and imagination flourish.
  3. 3. The Lounge The Recording Artist, along with his company may have to wait several minutes in order for their session to begin. The Lounge is a good opportunity for them to make any last preparations before they enter the studio.
  4. 4. The Studio Environment As the Artist steps foot into the studio, it is extremely important that he/she feels very comfortable. As one may notice, the way in which the studio is designed (i.e the color and lighting) create a very calm and soothing atmosphere. This allows everyone to be focused and forces them to work to their full potential.
  5. 5. The Mixer The Mixer can be seen as the epicenter of the studio. It controls all the sound levels of the project and is the most important machinery in the room.
  6. 6. Monitors Monitors are what the average person would know as, “Speakers.” The reason that they are called Monitors are because they are used by the Sound Engineer to listen to a song and make strict judgments on the way everything sounds.
  7. 7. Mixer Channel Strip Located on the Mixer, the channel strips contain many different buttons that affect what one hears in many different ways. Listening through the Monitors, the engineer can play with these knobs until the desired sound is found.
  8. 8. All of the hardware seen on the left is connected to the Mixer and used in the project to receive better sound quality. Evidently, the better hardware one has, the better quality it receives. Studio Rack
  9. 9. The Perfect Sound Aside from its extravagant look, the design of the studio serves an ever greater importance. The wooden “Diffusion Board” for example, scatters the sound frequencies in different directions so that the sound engineer hears everything more absolute.
  10. 10. Daytime Sessions An Artist’s mood and state of mind is most vital in order to receive their full potential whether they are writing, recording, etc… This is the daytime view of the city from the studio room itself. Daytime sessions in the studio mostly consist of the finalization of a project already created all throughout the night before.
  11. 11. Nighttime Sessions The nighttime view on the other hand, is much more exciting. If anybody begins to feel frustrated after several hours of work, they can always look outside the window for the sake of relaxation.
