Susan Cain is an American writer and
lecturer. In this inspiring TED Talk for
post-secondary students, she argues
that universities are designed to be
social in nature. She also points out
that introverts should not give in to
the pressure to fit in and try to
become an extrovert. By caving into
peer pressure, Cain believes that
others around introverted students
miss out on the wonderful things that
introverts have to offer.

Matt Cutts is an American software
engineer, who headed the web spam team
at Google between 2004 and 2014. In this
powerful TED Talk, Cutts discusses his
decision to follow the suggestion of Morgan
Sporlock, an American Philosopher, and try
something new every 30 days. Some of the
30 day challenges he endeavored in:
walking at least 10,000 steps a day, biking
to work, and not drinking coffee. Some of
the main benefits of doing the 30 day
challenges, he argues, are that time slows
down and life becomes more motivating.

Margaret Heffernan is an entrepreneur,
CEO, writer and keynote speaker. In this
TED Talk, she discusses the benefits of
conflict for businesses - the collaborative
kind. For her, conflict is a form of thinking
as well as a driver of change. Unfortunately
it is notably absent from the business
world because executives are afraid of
embracing it. If we are to get the most out
of our people we must allow them to
develop the skills they require, she argues,
we’ve got to encourage and engage in
constrictive conflict.
