3. Born October 28, 1955 to William H. Gates II & Mary
Gates.
Grew up in Seattle, WA.
Father was a Seattle attorney
Mother was a schoolteacher, University of Washington
regent, & chairman of United Way International.
His real name is William H. Gates III.

4.  William Henry "Bill" Gates, Sr. is a retired American
attorney and philanthropist and author of the book Showing
Up for Life: Thoughts on the Gifts of a Lifetime. He is the
father of Microsoft founder Bill Gates. And his mother Mary
Maxwell gates.
 Melinda French Gates, is an American businessperson and
philanthropist. She is the wife of Bill Gates, and the co-
founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
 Three children's of bill gates name Jennifer Katharine gates,
Rory John gates, Phoebe Adele gates.

5.  1967 Bill Gates had a normal schooling at the
Lakeside private school.
Wrote his first computer program in 8th grade.
SAT score: 1590 out of 1600.
 1973 He entered Harvard University but dropped
out in 1975 for the sake of building up the Software
empire.

6. Wrote his first computer program for playing tic tac
toe at the age of 13.
Developed a version of BASIC programming
language for the MITS Altair computer.
Launched Microsoft with his childhood friend Paul
Allen.
Created software for personal computers.

7. Founded April 4 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen.
They developed a language for the Altair 8800,
called Altair BASIC.
This code was distributed with the Altair 8800
system, making it Microsoft's first distributed code
in companies such as Commodore, Texas
Instruments, etc.

8.  IBM approached Microsoft in July 1980 regarding its
upcoming personal computer.
 Gates referred them to Digital Research for the OS
needed by IBM.
 IBM's discussions with Digital Research went poorly,
and they did not reach a licensing agreement.
 A few weeks later Gates proposed using 86-DOS an
operating system similar to CP/M that Tim
Paterson of Seattle Computer Products (SCP) had
made for hardware similar to the PC.
