This presentation shows you a few different ideas on how to bring your presentations up a notch by presenting quotes in a more creative way. We'll show you exactly how to recreate each design. Don't forget to check out the helpful resources at the end of the deck.
This presentation was created 100% in PowerPoint. View more presentation and production ideas on our blog: https://www.macroproductions.net/blog/

14. Vertical image & quote
- Henrik Ibsen
“A thousand words will not leave so
deep an impression as one deed. “
image
Components
text boxes
download an image you would like to use
start with a solid dark or light background
(depending on the photo you’re using)
add your photo and expand to fit vertically
(crop if needed)
add a text box slightly over the photo and
into the rest of the slide
I like to have a separate text box for the
author’s name to position more precisely,
however, this isn’t necessary
make text large enough to read easily and
pick a simple font

Vertical image & quote

Components
text boxes
follow ALL of the steps on the previous page
add a circle shape and add a text box over
with the quotes. Quotes tend to need to be
larger than the rest of the text and you’ll
definitely need to re-color and align
rectangle w/
transparent gradient

add a circle shape and add a text box over

to create the faded image look, add a

both gradient stops are set to white, but one is
100% transparent & the other is 0% transparent

horizontal image & quote w/ emphasized words

overlay
Components
text boxes (quote marks, text,
and emphasized words are all
individual text boxes)
download an image you would like to use and
add to slide. fill slide with image (crop if
needed)
put a rectangle shape over the entire image.
use black or white as your fill color and set
transparency to about 33% (will vary slightly
depending on image)
add a text box with quote text centered over
the photo
add text boxes for the quotation marks and
emphasized words. use a contrasting font for
the emphasized words
arranging the emphasized words within the
main text can be a bit tricky, but you’ll get it.
make sure to keep everything aligned

quote w/ emphasized words
Components
the background in this example is whatever
the background of your slide deck is.
add a text box with quote text centered
add text boxes for the quotation marks and
emphasized words. use a contrasting font for
the emphasized words
change the color of the emphasized words
and arrange within the main text. you’ll need
to add spaces in the main text box to make
room if the words are in the middle of a
sentence like this example.
you could keep all the text in one text box
and simply change the font of specific words,
but I find that the alignment & spacing don’t
always look good when I do this
text boxes (quote marks, text, and emphasized
words are all individual text boxes)
