 34% of organizations perceived that in 2012, the HR function will have to
play the role of a strategic thinker,
 27% thought HR will have to be a business partner, while 22% expected
HR to play the role of a change agent.
 only 4% said that they do not perceive any change in the role in the coming
years.

 53% of the responding organizations think that the
focus of the HR function in coming years will be on
making organizations more adaptable to change.

 Among the outsourcing options, 33% likes to use
employee shared services platforms. 12% organizations
would consider outsourcing its recruitment process, while
13% said they would consider outsourcing learning and
development activities. 6% said they would consider
outsourcing.
 Employee Referral : Many employers realize the value of recruiting via employee
referrals, and even offer referral bonuses to encourage employees to recommend
friends, colleagues and family members for jobs
 College Recruiting : Large organizations seeking new entrants to the work force
have recruiters who travel to college and university campuses looking for
graduating students.
 Job Fairs :Job fairs can be conducted by one employer seeking applicants for a
variety of positions, or a group of employers who want to attract large numbers
of qualified applicants.
 Professional Association :Recruiters and other human resources staff who belong
to professional associations use seminars, luncheon meetings and similar
networking opportunities to attract applicants.
 Telephonic Interviews : often conducted by employers in the initial interview
round of the hiring process
 Internet : Internet job boards that direct applicants to a company's website are a
popular recruitment method. Job search engines (Naukri.com, Monstorinida.com)
, Social Network sites like linkedin allows HRs to find people interested in a
particular job
 Using cost effective employer branding practices is leading the show
 followed by organizations trying to increase their floating workforce
 Outsourcing the recruitment process is in third place
 Re-hiring is the last priority in hiring practices

professionals will have
to reinforce and refocus
