4. College Management System provides an easy way not only to automate all functionalities of a college,
but also to provide full functional reports to top management of college with the finest of details about any aspect of
college is software which is helpful for students as well as the college authorities.
It can handle the details of students, personal details and fees details. In this system, only the operator can view the
details of students. This is generic type of software, suitable for all colleges . CMS has separate divisions to handle
the college transactions. Separate division is provided to maintain Students records and Fees Records.
OBJECTIVES :
The main objective of this system, is to reduce the consumption of time during maintaining the records of college
management.
In other words, our CMS has, following objectives :
Simple database is maintained.
Easy operations for the operator of the system.
User interfaces are user friendly and attractive, it takes very less time for the operator to get use-to with the
system.
INTRODUCTION
5. WHAT IS UNIQUE IN THIS PROJECT ?
We are using Unix commands inside this program which
reduces the run time and increases the execution speed.
This makes the program more efficient.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF USAGE OF ABOVE DATA STRUCTURES:
Files to store the details of students and faculties so as to access it when required.
Structures to store the information of student personal details, Fee details, course details and
admission details.
Linked lists to hold student details and admission details.
Looping constructs to check the conditions for eligibility and to satisfy some of the requirements.
6. REAL WORLD APPLICATION :
Today all the work at the time of admission of the students is done manually by ink and paper,
which is very slow and consuming much efforts and time.
Since the numbers of students is growing, and management has to handle records of all the
students, it is facing a little bit problems in maintaining the records of students.
It is required to Design of a Computerized College Management System, to speed up and make it
easy to use system.

10. LOGIN PAGE :
In computer security ,logging in , is a process by which an individual gains access to a computer system by
identifying and authenticating themselves.
The user credentials are typically some form of “user name” and a matching “password”,and these credentials
themselves are sometimes reffered to as login.
When access is no longer needed ,the user can logout.
Login module is used to check whether the user is an authorized person to use the system or not. Here the user will be asked
to give :-
User name
Password
When the user name and password matches correctly it retrieves the data stored in the file.
If there is a case that user has forgotten his user name or password then in order to overcome this drawback we
have used a unix command called “grep”.
The different types of users are
1.Admin 2.Students
User accounts – used by the student to
interface with the software back-end.
11. GENERATION OF FEE RECIEPT
In the fee payment system ,we have to enter the name
and USN of the student and it then we generate the fee
payment receipt.
This reduces the work task and it is easy to maintain
records for a longer time. With the help of this fee
calculations can be done.
CONCLUSION : From this system we can conclude that it
provides a better fee management system. This can be
used in any college based on requirements.
