Spiritist moral teachings for children
1. The fundamental mission of Spiritism
amongst mankind is the inner reform of
each individual, by providing
explanations as to the why of destinies.
For this reason, Spiritism restores many
usual concepts, so that consciences may
be enlightened and hearts consoled.
Just as Christ has not come to destroy
the Law but to fulfill it, the Spiritist
Doctrine has not come to contradict the
teaching of the Lord but to develop,
complete and explain them "in a clear
way for everyone, since they have been
previously taught in an allegoric
manner".
In fact, truth may be distant from the
word in which we aspire to express it.
Therefore, renew the expressions of
your thought and life will renew
itself entirely, in the work of each hour.

SPIRITIST MORAL TEACHINGS
FOR CHILDREN
Meetings are held every week
2. The enlightened spirits tell us that the
purpose of our incarnation is our moral
development and that the foremost
purpose of the Spiritist Doctrine is the
moral improvement mankind.
To that end, they also teach us that, on
Earth, the most perfect being that has
been offered to us as a guide and model
is Jesus. Leaving aside all human
vicious and concentrating on the essence
of His Moral Teaching we can identify a
pathway that will lead to spiritual
growth and moral improvement.
In question 383 of the Spirits’ Book that
“a spirit is more accessible during
childhood to the impressions he/she
receives, and which may conduce to
his/her advancement the end to which
all those who are entrusted with his/her
education should contribute.”
If we choose for our children the best
schools, the best clothes and toys, why
should we deny them the best moral
teachings?
If the World seems to be going through
a moral desert, and the corrupt seem to
have a better deal from society than the
just, we should remember that this life,
this moment in history is but an instant
in eternity, and that at the moment of
death it is our conscience that we shall
face. We are accountable for all our
doing.
Nowadays it is fashionable to say that
we wish to offer our children a choice,
and as a consequence give them no
religious education, saying that they can
choose what they would like when they
grow up. What might initially seem to
be reasonable argument falls through
when you realise that in choice we must
be able to compare.
And if we have no experience, how can
we choose?
Good habits acquired in childhood often
come to our rescue in a moment of
crisis, if we have never prayed, how can
you expect to do so when your lives is
falling apart? We learn first aid before
the accident occurs.
Naturally, having given your children
the best we could offer, they still might
choose other pathways later in life, as
we are all empowered with free will.
However, you will have the peace of
mind of knowing that we have fulfilled,
to the best of our ability, our duty of
guardian and educator of that spirit, who
came into your house to start his/her life
in your family, and not by mere chance.
“We all wish for a better world.
A world is made of people.
People start off in life as children.
It is by educating our children today that
we will have that better world tomorrow.”
