The Festival de las Almas is a celebration held in Valle de Bravo, Mexico from October 24th to November 2nd each year. The festival honors the memory of the dead and the tradition that their souls return annually to visit loved ones. Various indigenous communities gather for activities like music, food, and a costume race called the Paseo de las Almas. The name of the festival comes from the belief that it marks the beginning of when lost souls can enjoy worldly activities with relatives.
