The document presents an educational game called "The Cosmos" designed to help students prepare for math exams. The game involves completing math problems to navigate between levels represented by planets. At each planet level, students must overcome obstacles by solving a certain percentage of math problems correctly to advance to the next planet level. Completing all planet levels involves revising key math concepts and terms through an engaging and interactive gaming experience to motivate students in their exam preparation.
3. Preparation for the Math exam is a long,
responsible, thorough and time-consuming learning
process. There are a lot of educational materials
which are quite large and pupils have to know a lot
of information. As a result, graduates are often
faced with a variety of problems when preparing for
exams.
To make the preparation for the Math exam very
interesting and effective, pupils will be invited to
get ready with the computer game called “the
Cosmos”.
4. “The Cosmos” game will be an additional learning tool
for pupils who study in the 11-12 grades.
The main objective of the game is to revise the basic
concepts and rules of the mathematics taught in the
upper classes.
This is the collection of key terms and definitions that
will motivate pupils to learn in more interesting way.
5. The game will consist of different levels - planets: Mars,
Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and
Earth.
There are the main chapters of mathematics in the upper
classes:
real numbers, degrees, index, logarithmic, exponential
and gradual functions, and geometry basics.
6. At each level, students will have to overcome obstacles.
For example, to calculate by heart and when they have
a certain number of points, then they could go to the
next level, for instance, to the next planet.
The game will require calculations by heart, quick
orientation and mathematical knowledge.
8. The gusts of asteroids are falling on the Mercury
planet. In order to avoid this danger, it is necessary to
press the correct answer on the keyboard. Then the
asteroids will decrease, and the planet Mercury will be
saved.
When the students overcome at least 80 percent of the
tasks, they could reach the next level, another planet-
Venus.
11. There is a shortage of water on Venus, the planet is near
extinction. It needs to be rescued.
The students should help that planet, and solve at least
80 percent of tasks as well, and then they will save the
planet. After that pupils will reach the next level-Mars.
12.
13. The game finishes when the student goes through all
levels of it- all planets which contain a lot of
obstacles.
