- 20. How to create an Evernote account
- 21. In Google search, type “evernote.com” and press “Enter”
- 22. This is the Evernote website
- 23. On the top-right corner, click this
- 25. This is the Evernote Installer. When download is done, click this.
- 26. Click “Run”
- 27. Click the small box
- 28. Click “Install”
- 29. You are now installing Evernote to your Desktop
- 30. Click “Finish”
- 31. Click “New to Evernote”
- 32. Type your email
- 33. Choose a password and type it here
- 34. Click “Register”
- 37. On the upper-left corner, click “New Note”
- 38. This is what a note looks like
- 40. The first line is also the Note title but you can change/edit it later
- 42. Your note is saved
- 44. Click the Note title to highlight it
- 45. Type your new Note title here and press “Enter”
- 46. Click this to see more Note commands
- 47. These are the other actions you can do with the Note
- 49. Click “Add tag…” or F3
- 50. Type the tag here
- 51. Example: type “work ” and press “Enter”
- 52. “Tags” is where Evernote saves all the tags you create on each Note
- 53. Click “Tags” to see the list of all the tags you created
- 54. The number beside the tag tells you how many Notes have the same tag
- 56. When you’re new to Evernote, your first Note will be put on the “First Notebook” by default
- 57. Click this to create a new Notebook
- 58. Type the name of your new Notebook
- 59. Example: Let’s create a Notebook named “Inbox”. Type “Inbox”
- 60. Click “OK”
- 61. Under Notebooks, you will find your new Notebook named “Inbox”
- 62. When you’ve been adding Notes and Notebooks, Evernote looks like this
- 63. On the left side, click this to view all your Notebooks
- 64. These are all your Notebooks
- 65. and the number beside the Notebooks tells you how many Notes each Notebook have
- 66. Edit Notebook
- 67. Right-click on the Notebook you want to edit and choose from these actions
- 69. Example: Let’s make “Inbox” the default Notebook. Click “Inbox”
- 71. Click the small box
- 72. Click “OK”
- 73. This is now your default Notebook
- 74. When you click on a Notebook
- 75. All Notes in that Notebook will appear here
- 76. When you click on a Note
- 77. You will see the Note here
- 79. Click the current Notebook
- 80. And choose another Notebook. Example: transfer this from “First Notebook” to “Inbox”
- 82. Click this
- 83. The Evernote website will open in a new tab. Click this
- 85. On the top-left corner, Evernote Web Clipper is now added to Chrome
- 86. Click on the Evernote icon
- 87. Type in your email
- 88. Type in your password
- 89. Click “Sign In”
- 90. Evernote Web Clipper looks like this
- 91. Example: Let’s save this webpage as Bookmark
- 92. Click “Bookmark”
- 93. Save this bookmark in “First Notebook”
- 94. Type here if you want to add a tag (optional)
- 95. Click “Save”
- 96. This webpage is now added as a Note in Evernote
- 97. To instantly share this Note, click “Share” and choose from these
- 99. Trash works like a Recycle Bin. It temporarily holds all deleted Notes.
- 100. Click on Trash and you will see all deleted Notes here
- 102. Click “Trash”
- 103. Click on a Note
- 104. Click “Erase Note”
- 105. Click “Delete Note”
- 107. Click “Trash”
- 108. Click on a Note
- 109. Click “Restore Note”
- 110. That’s it! You’re on your way to using Evernote!
