I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students can:
a. Identify the different kinds of input and output devices
b. Explain the importance and use of input and output devices
c. Distinguish the devices whether it is an input or output device
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Input and Output Devices

Instructional Materials:

pictures and manila papers
Value Focus: To know the importance of the input and output devices in our
everyday lives and how it completes the use of computers.
III. Procedure
A. Preparation
1. Greetings
The teacher says her greetings to the students.
2. Attendance
The teacher checks the attendance of the students.
2. B. Motivation
The teacher groups the learners into four and hands out jumbled
letters forming the following words:
I N P U T
O U T P U T
Direction: Arrange the letters to form a word that will help you in giving an
idea on what our lesson will be for today.
Questions after learners arrange the letters:
What are the words that you have formed out from the jumbled letters?
What idea that pops into your mind when you hear the word input?
How about the word output? What are your ideas about it?
C. Presentation of the Topic
For a computer to work, you must have the following computer components
or devices to be connected in your computer. Like the keyboard for typing in
the letters and numbers, or the headset for you to hear the sound and music
in the computer.
Now, what will be our topic for today that will help a computer to work?
D. Discussion
The teacher introduces the topic to the learners by using the powerpoint
presentation as a guide for the lesson proper.

F. Application
Group Activity: The learners are divided into four groups – the same group
that they had during the motivational activity. The teacher hands out the
pictures of the different devices for input and output.
Group the following pictures of the devices whether it belongs to the
