REUSE
RECYCLE
10. REDUCE or don’t use resources you don’t need. We have to stop using up
things when we are not making use of them. Examples:
• Do not run water when we are not using it. Turn the tap off while we are
brushing our teeth, washing the dishes or soaping our body up; take short
showers;…
• Save energy turning the lights off when we are not using them. Open the
blinds during the day, turn the lights off when you leave a room, or turn the
TV off if you are not watching it.
• Walk and use means of transport without engine (motor) to avoid pollution.
This way, you will be healthier.
REDUCE1
11. REUSE is the action of using something again, whether for
its original purpose (for example, I give my old clothes to
my little brother or sister) or to fulfil a different function
(creative reuse. For example, Wall-E reused an old boot
and created a flowerpot).

12. RECYCLE is the process of converting waste materials into
new materials and objects. So that, we have to throw
recyclable materials in the correct bin (blue, yellow,
green,…). Then, new objects made of those materials are
created in factories and, later, we can use them again.
