Bojszowy, located in the historic
Pszczyna Land, is one of the oldest
settlements in Upper Silesia. The
oldest document about the village
preserved in the Pszczyna archive
comes from 1368 and says, among
others, that the village of "Budischow
is located and has existed for a long
time".
They manifest themselves
clearly even today, also
among the inhabitants of
other towns in the commune,
which have their own, equally
interesting history.
The history of Bojszowy - a
border village for centuries
- was written by belonging to
various principalities,
kingdoms, empires and states,
which shaped specific
features and attitudes in
subsequent generations.
It indicates that its
origins should be sought in
the first millennium of our
era.

Tomala
• Dawid Tomala is a Polish race
walker. He is the reigning
Olympic champion in the 50
kilometres walk, having won
the gold medal at the 2020
Tokyo Olympics. Tomala also
represented his country at the
2012 London Olympics,
finishing 19th in the 20 km
walk.Unfortunately, few people
know that our Olympic champion
comes from Bojszowy!
