Managed two separate acquired UGC platforms for Disney Interactive: Disney.com Create and MyDCast. Key achievements:
Grew the Create portal to a peak of 125 different themed and branded online creativity apps (drawing, painting, photo and video mashups), which
generated 300,000 monthly saves, 1 million monthly visits, and an average of 20 minutes spent on the site;
Built and managed the 2012 "Make Your Mark" video UGC contest, which inspired almost 100,000 tweens and teens to submit 45second dance
audition videos for judging by Disney Channel execs;
Managed, built, and maintained over 20 additional photo and video UGC campaigns on MyDCast.
Daily responsibilities included:
Meeting with brand stakeholders, marketers and Ad sales reps from across Disney, to discuss campaign needs and tech requirements;
Managed agile board (primarily using Jira) and daily standups, reviewing and shifting priorities as needed;
Guided UI team in development of mockups for all campaigns, and managed approval process for the designs with all stakeholders
Shepherded campaigns through the corporate UGC approval process, serving as primary point with the internal "UGC committee" a crossdiscipline
task force to ensure the primacy of guest data safety;
Built and/or configured apps using legacy UGC production tools, a mishmash of CMS, CSS, JSON and shell scripts that moved versions of each
campaign's app through each internal review environment.
Managed final stakeholder review and approval process, bringing together QA, legal, TechOps, Marketing, ad production, and executives to give
launch green light.
Managed production deployment and served as primary point of contact 24/7 for any production issues;
Compiled app traffic data into a variety of reports, in a readilydigestible format for the relevant audience.
