Bookmarking Sites: These are used to save and organize links from resources and website. Pinterest is a huge example of this. 5. Media Sharing: This platform allows users to share media online, such as images and videos. Youtube is the most well-known media sharing platform. 6. Community Blogs: These are used by groups of people where they can provide services, or talk with a specific audience.

On average, 49% of the world are active on social media. 63% of the world’s population, aged 13+, are active on social media In America, 70% use social media, regardless of age, and 83% of those 13+ use social media.

They are also able to use social media to advertise, promote giveaways, and many even use mobile apps for their business. When businesses have customers, they are able to educate them about their services or benefits. With this opportunity, marketers are able to create customer loyalty and constantly learn about what they need to satisfy customers.

Businesses often pay celebrities to sponsor their product, which brings awareness to the business, while also benefiting the influencer. Users or customers love to give business to places or people who can build a relationship with them. With social media, it has become much easier for businesses to bond or engage with customers, such as using blogs or twitter. Recently, many businesses have made a twitter account, or tik tok. Twitter is able to reach all age groups, where Tik Tok typically reaches younger consumers.

This can create a connection with customers. Engagement: Customers are more likely to buy a product through engagement marketing. There are 5 types of this: asking for feedback, free classes, how-to videos, sharing information about a product after purchase, and donating to charities. Exclusivity: This has to do with the need to belong, therefore business will create offers to build loyalty, such as personally inviting clients, discounts, and preview sales. Emotion: Emotions are a huge part of humanity, and everyone has them. Businesses use this to build relationships with customers by telling stories, showing pictures related to the business, or videos of the company doing things to help others.
