The document announces an art exhibition titled "Prism: Walls" curated by Christian Rieben opening on January 29, 2015 at Loyola University Chicago. The exhibition will feature works by 13 artists exploring how an artist's sexual identity relates to their expression of desire. Using Carson McCullers' novel "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" and Sarah Gubbins' memoir "fml" as inspiration, the show examines the moment when self-preservation and the urge to express one's feelings collide.

This is a
show about how
an artist's sexual identity
relates to the way in which they
express their desire. Using Carson
McCullers' The Heart is a Lonely Hunter
and Sarah Gubbins' fml: how Carson
McCullers saved my life as emotional
touchstones, the show will examine the
moment when self-preservation and the
compulsion to express ones feelings meet
- when 'the love that dares not', actually
dares. This is not an exclusively "queer"
show, more "queer-ish", a show of all
people who have loved in the face of oppo-
sition.
