INTRODUCTION
E-Commerce, also known as electronic commerce or internet commerce, is an activity of
buying and selling goods or services over the internet or open networks. So, any kind of
transaction (whether money, funds, or data) is considered as E-commerce. So, E-
commerce can be defined in many ways, some define E-Commerce as buying and selling
goods and services over the Internet, others define E-Commerce as retail sales to
consumers for which the transaction takes place on open networks. The buying and
selling of products, services, and digital products through the Internet all fall under the
umbrella of e-commerce.
BACKGROUND
The project “Online E-commerce Services for Multilevel Products” is an application to
automate the process of storing records regarding various products, Product categories
and their subcategories. This web based application is designed to fulfill the marketing
needs of various companies that deals with multilevel products by maintaining the
required reports of various products, Product categories and their subcategories on time.
This Application will also help clients/user to and sort products according to their
requirement.

Scope of E-Commerce Web-Page
1. This project will help multilevel product companies for storing and maintaining
information of their products.
2. This project enable to store and maintain a great database of all the processes of
working.
3. Project will enable to generate reports regarding products, quantity, and sales.
4. Easy to update in future prospect as per the requirement of user.
5. Easy for clients to search and sort products according to their requirement.

OBJECTIVE
• Direct ecommerce will enable you to more efficiently and effectively manage
online business.
• It creates a secure and user friendly environment for online customers.
• It offers peace of mind for merchant and client both and proves to be an
innovative business solution by significantly minimize replication factor.
• It provides easy storage and access of information.
• This project intends to introduce more user friendliness in the various activities
such as record addition, updation, and maintenance, searching and sorting.
• The searching of record has been made quite simple as all the details of the
products, product categories and their subcategories can be obtained by
simply keying in the identification of that product.

• Similarly, record maintenance and updation can also be accomplished by using
the identification of the products, product categories and their subcategories
with all the details being automatically generated. These details are also
being promptly automatically updated in the master file thus keeping the
record absolutely up-to-date.
• The entire information has maintained in the database or Files and whoever
wants to retrieve can’t retrieve, only company administration can retrieve
the necessary information which can be easily accessible from the file.

CONCLUSION
E-commerce is an ever developing area. With the advancement in technology and
communication, e-commerce has also gained popularity among the people of India and
worldwide. It has made e-business easy and accessible to people sitting at home. E-
commerce has a huge impact on costs, access to goods and services and increased
productivity of businesses. It also plays an important role in the economic growth and
development of a nation. Though it is a relatively new area belonging to the era of the
internet, it has the potential to change and replace the traditional form of business and
trade activities.
However, Indian e-commerce still faces many difficulties in web marketing because of
infrastructural difficulties, limited access and computer illiteracy. Majority of the Indian
population lives in rural areas and they do not have sufficient knowledge about computers
and the internet. Some customers even in urban areas do not have sufficient facilities and
knowledge of online transactions and payments, therefore, this activity of buying and selling
of goods online is limited to certain people who are equipped with the knowledge of
computer and internet. However, with the government initiatives like Digital India, this
scenario has changed a lot in the last decade and India is becoming a huge platform for e-
commerce
