What is WSN ?
• Wireless Sensor Networks are networks that consists of sensors
which are distributed in an ad hoc manner.
• These sensors work with each other to sense some physical
phenomenon and then the information gathered is processed to
get relevant results.
• Wireless sensor networks consists of protocols and algorithms
with self-organizing capabilities.
5. Application of WSN
The applications can be divided in three categories:
1. Monitoring of objects.
2. Monitoring of an area.
3. Monitoring of both area and objects.
6. Challenges in WSN
• Energy constraint
• Transmission range
• Life time
• Hotspot problem
7. Related work
• LEACH (Low energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy)
• Multi Objective Clustering Using Fuzzy Logic.
8. Proposed work
An energy aware approach to unequal clustering in
wireless sensor network using Fuzzy Logic
• Random value generator
• Thresh hold value
• Cluster-head
• Fuzzy logics
• 3 factor
• Competition radius
9. Conclusion
Energy is a major factor in designing WSNs. To achieve the
energy efficiency, many clustering algorithms are proposed and
LEACH is the representative one. LEACH uses the probability
model to distribute the concentrated energy consumption of the
CHs. However, it depends on only a probability model and the
energy efficiency is not maximized.
