2. These questions were used as an establishing questions
to identify who was answering what questions and to
show if there was any significant differences in the
results to see if it was due to gender and age
differences.
3. This question was
used to identify what
the participants in
the survey were
most interested in;
as thriller was the
second favourite out
of the categories I
can see by choosing
to make a thriller
film promotional
package will be good
targeted at this
audience.
4. By narrowing down
the genre thriller
into sub-genres,
could identify how
the participants
liked each sub-
genre. Action/ teen
and psychological
came out on top,
this suggests to me
as a screenwriter
that elements of
action, teen and
psychological should
be combined within
the teaser trailer.
5. By asking what the
participants expect
to see in a teen
thriller will make
me structure my
teaser trailer to
impress the target
audience. When
the audience watch
the teaser trailer
they will see the
conventional things
and then in turn
will want to watch
the film itself.
6. From asking the participants what films they are interested in I
can analyse and evaluate them, by doing this I can identify the
main trends in the films and add similar ideas to my own
teaser trailer.
7. Clearly here it can be
concluded that
adolescents should be
the main characters in
the teen thriller. Also
it has been stated that
the victim should be
female and the villain
should be males, this
will be followed in the
teaser trailer as it is
genre convention of
teen thrillers.
8. It is evident from
this question that
social media is how
most of the
participants find
out about new
films. This suggests
to me, when
marketing my film I
should release the
teaser trailer on to
social media.
