The Organizers APPBF XTION PAINTBALL SPORTS CLUB Officially launched by the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia on 12th July 2005, Xtion Paintball Park is located at a strategic area at the beautiful National Xtreme Sports Park in the midst of our National Sports Complex. PALS Event Founded in 2005 by Paul Lam, PALS events is the premier organizer of paintball events in asia, organizing prestigious, world-recognized events such as the Malaysian Paintball Official Circuit (MPOC), the Paintball Asia League Series, and the prestigious World Cup Asia. ASIA PACIFIC PAINTBALL FEDERATION The APBF is the umbrella body for all paintball associations in the Asian Pacific region, and sister to other associations such as the European Paintball Federation (EPBF) and the United Paintball Federation (UPBF). 3. Historical Origins InDec 2004 The Nation Cup 2004 was held in Malaysia – the first international paintball tournament ever held in Asia, mooted by DatukZahidHamidi, The Deputy Minister of Tourism. During the event, the Malaysian Paintball Operators Circuit (MPOC) was launched and the Asia Pacific Paintball Championship (APPC) 2005 was announced to the world . The APPC replaced the Nation Cup 2004 and was held on the 30th of Sept 2005, bringing Malaysia to the attention of the worldwide paintball community. The event , sanctioned by international paintball bodies and endorsed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Tourism and even the Ministry of Information, received massive coverage. The notable international sponsors were Dye Precision , Kingman, Facefull , Adrenaline Games, Sup’airball, MacDev and Brass Eagle. Corporate sponsors included Malaysian Airlines System, Excel ,Timex, The Star , RTM , TV3 , 8TV, Virtual Malaysia , DBKL and the National Sports Complex.
4. Historical Origins The tournament was a huge success, receiving worldwide accolades. A signing ceremony took place during the APPC that made Malaysia the paintball hub of Asia in the eyes of the world. A truly historic event, Paintball-Asia League Series (PALS) was born and is recognized by the 2 largest and elite series in Europe and USA . The recognition is exclusive to Xtion Paintball-Malaysia and included an invitation to represent Asia in the United Paintball Federation, a world body for paintball. There are currently 2 World Series tournaments held in Orlando, USA (US) and Toulouse, France (Europe) . XtionPaintball-Malaysia is proud to have carried out the sanctioned World Cup-Asia annually in MALAYSIA since 2006.… we are now looking at the hosting the World Cup Asia 2010…

The first woman in Malaysia to ever be awarded the rank of Brigadier General for her contribution to the Wataniah Military Regiment, Her Highness has always been active in supporting sports and charity.Known for her compassion and generosity, the Princess is currently the chairperson for the YayasanSultanahBahiyah, a charity organization for the state of Kedah, and hosted the Sultan of Kedah Cup alongside her father, the HRH Sultan of Kedah earlier this year.In addition being the Royal Guest of Honor for the WCA this year, Her Royal Highness will also be the Royal Patron for the World Cup Asia 2011.
