The first 300 VMs were live migrated in less than 96 hrs • X chose VMware Cloud on AWS because it enabled them to use their on-premise VMware tools but most importantly it provided them with the speed of migration to the cloud as part of their Cloud-First mandate. VMware Cloud on AWS also provided X the agility and cost-effectiveness they desired, while allowing them to leverage their familiar tools and automation. Customer Y Successfully Migrates with VMware Cloud on AWS • 400+ VMs and 30TBs of Storage In 20 Days – 2 Weeks Ahead of Schedule! • Y migrated their production workloads with no downtime and without upgrading the software or the physical network. This was done with a limited 100Mbps connection and without any virtual machine format conversion or application replatforming or switching backup vendor. • In their own words, "this migration worked flawlessly within a pretty tight schedule against a hard cutoff" (lease expiration/renewal). According to the customer, their users were "not even aware or noticed" the change -- there was absolutely no downtime.
