learning and also valuable information about being a teacher
 George Couros also has a blog that I follow because of the
connection on Twitter
 Mr. Couros also follows me which is very neat!
 He could be a possible future employer
 Mr. Couros is also a great role model with a large group of
followers that are good connections for the future

 Good link to what is happening in regards to Alberta and
education
 The purpose of their Twitter is to engage Albertans into what
happens in regards to education inside Alberta
 They have a link to their website and this site shows everything
you could possibly want to know about professional education
practices occurring in Alberta
 They provide a good source for curriculum information also
 People that follow AlbertaEd are usually teachers so there is
another connection

5. @ALBERTATEACHERS
 These folks provide professional information on Albertan teachers
and their conduct
 Their purpose is to promote education and professional practice
of it’s members
 They also protect teachers and advocate for their wellbeing and
development
 @albertateachers also provides a list of bloggers that links
education and politics involved in teaching specifically in Alberta

6. MY TWITTER OCTOBER 15, 2012
II don’t tweet too much but I have increased who I am following
and people started to follow me too! I am more of a reader on
here than a writer. I don’t want to say something stupid!
Instead I just read other people’s tweets to stay connected. I
like to retweet when I see something cool.

7. IN CLOSING:
 Twitter has been a very useful learning tool for me even though I
have not tweeted much
 I find myself admiring the many tweets people have made and their
connections
 The idea I am connected to people that have valuable advice as
educators is very exciting! Especially when they follow me!
 As time goes on my confidence will increase so I can tweet about
sources I find scholarly and relevant
 Twitter connects me to a vast amount of info that is endless and I
have connections for the future by using this to promote my PLN
 The scholarly judgments of fellow teachers ensures appropriate
sources
 Employment opportunities are possible because of connections I will
make in the future
 My image on Twitter is something to be proud of and keep
professional for the future
