To conduct market research about shoppers and to
drive traffic to their stores, Reliance Trends set up
Trendspotting, a feedback app on their Facebook page
and gave away vouchers to drive people to their stores.

Reliance Trends built the Trendspotting Facebook app
to collect feedback and rewarded their fans for their
valuable feedback with a discount voucher:
• They built the Trendspotting app on their Facebook
page, asking customers and potential customers
about their shopping habits
• Respondents of the survey had a chance to receive
a Rs. 500 voucher from Reliance Trends that was
redeemable at their stores across India
• To publicize their app, they ran Facebook ads on the
right hand side
• By adding keywords related to fashion, the ads were
being targeted to relevant shoppers
• By targeting users who are not currently fans of
the Reliance Trends page, they were able to raise
awareness of their page and connect with more
customers through their page
• To ensure that the vouchers were redeemed,
reminders were sent to fans who claimed the
vouchers
