PERSONAL
My name is Aliaksei (Alex) Koran, and I am a Christian
illustrator and senior graphic designer based in Houston,
Texas. I have over 19 years of experience in graphic
design and illustration, and have worked as both a full-
time and a contract worker. You can see some of my
work on my portfolio website at alexkoran.com.
I take pride in my work, appreciate precision, accuracy,
detail, quality, originality and treat any project I’m
working on as art. Regularly working on bettering and
improving my skills is very important to me, so I always
welcome opportunities to learn.
I enjoy working with people, both clients and co-workers
and try to create a cooperative and friendly environment
in the work place. I am self-motivated and can complete
projects with a minimum oversight and supervision.
Understanding that a designer needs to be efficient, I
look for improvements in my workflow and share the
knowledge in my team, so we all move forward and don’t
stagnate.
I have a high level of commitment to my work, and I
enjoy the process of creation. My true passion is art and
illustration, but I equally embrace the technical and
logical challenges of graphic design.
Looking into the future, my professional goals include:
shift from Graphic Design to illustration and maybe have
my own studio eventually. I was always interested in art
and illustration, but didn’t have possibilities to do so
before.
I would like to lessen my current commute by finding a
workplace closer to home, if at all possible.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Sincerely,
Alex Koran
