Mission of organization
VOID strives to help local fashion designers display their designs in rented out showroom space.
The owner, and his team, provide the designers with many networking opportunities, including
inviting bloggers, industry editors, and more. The goal of VOID is to give an opportunity for fashion
designers to display their talents and network with the necessary people the designers can’t
otherwise do alone, for a fair price. The showroom will provide space, rails, hangers, and furniture to
the designers, and nothing more in order for designers to be free in their work.

The company is privately owned by Chandler Fox, who is based in Paris, France.

History of organization
VOID showroom opened in 2012 in Paris, France during Paris fashion week. Since the opening,
VOID has helped many local fashion designers get their name out in the fashion industry, with many
designers gaining work from well-known industry designers, and companies.
2. VOID showroom is run by a group of five, childhood friends who have dreamed of owning a
showroom for fashions shows their entire lives. The owner, Chandler Fox, left his job of ten years to
finally live out his dream, and invited his friends to join him after six months of being open to help
with different aspects of the business.

Profile of CEO or executive director
Chandler Fox is a fashion designer who gained his success with the help of his friends and local
designers at an early age. Chandler’s first show was put on when he was 20 years old in Dallas, TX,
with funding from friends, family, and a public GoFundMe support page. After months of planning,
preparing, and hundreds of social media posts, the show went on. After the first show, Chandler
received an internship with designer Gail Chovan, and his career kicked off. Over the years,
Chandler has helped stage Gail’s designs, travelled to Paris Fashion week numerous times to help
bring designs to life, and is currently focusing on helping other designers make their dreams come
true through the VOID showroom. From time to time, Chandler will create his own shows with his
own designs, but for the most part, wishes to help local designers put their foot in the door in the
fashion industry.
Finances
VOID began with Chandler’s own capital and that of Gail Chovan. Gail is one of the main investors
in VOID showroom to show her support of Chandler’s talents, with a 20% investment. When
Chandler opened VOID, he received a small business loan from his bank for $10,000, and with the
success of the showroom since opening, the loan has been paid off. Gail continues to keep her
investment, and uses the showroom as needed.
Major expenses are mainly through the utilities, such as electricity and water, and rent. The rate of
renting showroom space is the profit of the company, but rent and utilities is paid for first. The rent of
the showroom is $2,500, and the cost of utilities is $500.
During season (Fashion Week), designers rent out a minimum of 1 week to display their designs for
a flat rate of $1,000, and a maximum of 2 weeks for $2,000.
Off Season, designers rent out a minimum of 3 days to display their designs for a flat rate of $500,
and a maximum of 1 week for $800.
The cost of renting out space during season costs more because the demand for space is much
higher than off season. Fashion Week is the biggest time of the year for the fashion industry, and
designers are always looking for places to display their designs and make the necessary
connections to advance their careers.
3. Customers
Local fashion designers who wish to display their designs to the public, but do not have all of the
necessary means to put on a big, publicized show, will rent out warehouse space.
Employees
The showroom employs five people, including the owner who oversees the showroom. This
includes an in-house public relations employee who is in charge of social media, press releases, and
event planning. A secretary to answer phone calls and book shows. A headhunter to find local
fashion designers, and a networking employee to bring in fashion designers, bloggers, and more to
come to the fashion shows.
Competitors
There are only a couple other showrooms in the area, but demand is high, specifically during Paris
Fashion Week.
Political Environment

Regulatory Environment
The showroom operates under a Paris Business License, and follows The Paris Agreement on
climate change, trying to lower the carbon footprint and create a cleaner, safer environment in Paris.
Businesses benefit internally through costs, and have a higher likeability factor amongst customers
by following the agreement.
Current situation
The firm is currently expanding, and opening a new showroom location in Brooklyn, New York after
one of its most successful years since opening. The owner, Chandler Fox, will be heading to New
York for a few months as the showroom opens, along with the showroom’s public relations
professional in order to find the best staff possible for the new showroom.
Public-relations needs
As VOID opens its second location, the company needs a public relations professional to build a
following in the new area. A strong, social media track must be established fairly quickly in order for
the public relations professional from Paris to travel back to Paris and continue working. The
company also needs a public relations professional to get their name out to the public and local
fashion designers who wish to rent showroom space.
My role
4. I am a recent graduate student, with internship experience in the fashion industry. I built my resume
in the local fashion world of Philadelphia and Brooklyn, and I know what it takes to be able to make a
strong and known social media trail in order to get local designers to rent out showroom space, and I
have connections with bloggers and well-known industry leaders in the fashion world in Brooklyn. I
am the in-house Director of Public Relations at the Paris showroom, but am currently flying between
Paris and Brooklyn as VOID begins the process of opening its second location in Brooklyn. As the
Director of Public Relations for VOID, I plan events, manage social media, and send out press
releases.
