Marketing is an important topic and advertising is the direct outcome of most marketing. With consumers ignoring traditional advertising we must look at those companies that went above and beyond.
2. BROUGHT TOYOU BY KIT KAT
• I chose this advertisement for it’s clever
use of space as well as playing into the
mantra that Kit Kat has instilled, which
is that you worked hard, take a break
and enjoy a Kit Kat. It furthers the
marketing story with it’s consumers.
Also using trailers like these for
advertising is useful because they are
constantly on the road which
maximizes exposure.
3. • This is a perfect example of guerrilla
marketing, It catches the consumers eyes
repeatedly throughout the shopping trip.
Thus encouraging the consumer to help
support the cause. This instils a direct
emotion from the shopper and when the
clerk asks if they would like to donate
during their check out, the consumers
are more inclined to say yes.
4. • This form of advertising is creative
because there are certain health risks to
smoking, but those can be thought of in
the distant future or not even happen to
them at all. But this puts the risks in
their face as they are doing the action
that would cause this symptoms, making
them fell uncomfortable and plays into
their fear appeals.
5. BROUGHT TOYOU BY WINDEX
• This showcases the attributes that Windex
is claiming to have. Knowing that it’s
consumers are everyday people and that
cleaning windows is a basic chore that
must be done.Windex has taken a
mundane product that must be purchased,
but there isn’t a high brand loyalty due to
its common product type. This places in
consumers minds that there is a better
faster alternative to all of the other
window cleaners and that isWindex.
6. BROUGHT TOYOU BY JOBSINTOWN.DE
• This was a creative marketing technique
because coffee is a symbol of the worker and
everyone who has to be up early needs their
coffee. These consumers tend to be thinking
about their jobs and having to get up early for a
job they hate makes getting up that much
harder. This plays into peoples fear because
there is an underlying sense, especially if your
job was not your first pick; that you are doing
something you are going to hate for the rest of
your life. This ad showcases where you can get
more information on the jobs that you want
and dream of.
