Polymer is a molecular compound 
distinguished by a high molar mass, 
ranging into thousands & millions of 
grams, & made up of repeating units 
(monomer)
Activity 1: Changing polymer pellets 
1 - Writing the Data

3- Prepare two 0.5 g of 
polymer. 
4- add 10 ml of water . 6- weight the samples after 
10 min .
Abstract: 
Sample “A” absorb the water

Conclusion: 
* The polymers have Characteristic absorption due to polar.

Project 1 :

6-Add 2 times solvent ratio .

Product tautly:
The projects' problem 
Hot drinks temperatures decreases quickly, 
especially in winter. So the idea of our 
project was painting hot drinks cups with clay 
polymers to keep its temperature as long as 
possible
The Idea of the project: 
Using naturally made clay 
polymer after making 
It from: starch, soda, oil and 
water.
Polymer clay safety is the 
subject of concern 
specifically the long-term 
effects of exposure to 
certain phthalate plasticizers
We found out that clay polymer 
keeps the temperature of hot 
drinks cup for the longest time
1- using the accurate quantity of materials 
in making clay polymer leads to good 
results .we tried preparing cay polymer with 
in accurate quantities ,but the experiment 
failed 
2- Naturally made clay polymer is very useful for 
children. It can be used for making shapes and 
toys for children 
3- clay polymer must be perfectly ( solute 
din order to use it properly and well
AL Bairaq is the learning and scientists eye 
on the world . We have had agreat benfit 
from our experience with Al Bairaq .

Outline • Introduction • Activity 1: Changing polymer pellets. • Activity 2: Hunting for polymer products. • Activity 3: Comparing the viscosity of liquids. • Activity 4: Testing the strength of different polymers films. • Activity 5: Measuring water absorption by different polymers films. • Design Project : Testing the strength of different polymer films.
  • 3. Polymer is a molecular compound distinguished by a high molar mass, ranging into thousands & millions of grams, & made up of repeating units (monomer)
  • 4. Activity 1: Changing polymer pellets 1 - Writing the Data 2- Sort tools 3- Prepare two 0.5 g of polymer. 4- add 10 ml of water . 6- weight the samples after 10 min .

  • 15. The projects' problem Hot drinks temperatures decreases quickly, especially in winter. So the idea of our project was painting hot drinks cups with clay polymers to keep its temperature as long as possible
  • 16. The Idea of the project: Using naturally made clay polymer after making It from: starch, soda, oil and water.

  • 18. Polymer clay safety is the subject of concern specifically the long-term effects of exposure to certain phthalate plasticizers
  • 19. We found out that clay polymer keeps the temperature of hot drinks cup for the longest time
  • 20. 1- using the accurate quantity of materials in making clay polymer leads to good results .we tried preparing cay polymer with in accurate quantities ,but the experiment failed 2- Naturally made clay polymer is very useful for children. It can be used for making shapes and toys for children 3- clay polymer must be perfectly ( solute din order to use it properly and well
