ABOUT THE BRAND
 In 1909, August Horch formed a car company, later named AUDI
AUTOMOBILWERKE.
 AUDI was one of four car makers that merged to become AUTO
UNION in 1932.
 AUTO UNION was bought by Daimler-Benz in 1950s then sold to
VW group in 1960s.
 The Audi 100 of 1968 convinced VW to turn AUDI into a
standalone brand.
 AUDI Quattro was launched in 1980 as a 4x4 performance model.
 The German phrase ‘vorsprung durch technik‘ means 'progress through
technology’ when translated into English.
POSITIONING OF THE BRAND
 AUDI focuses on all its segments for the market.
 AUDI has major 12 models on normal sale in India.
 AUDI has been producing automobiles at its site in Aurangabad
in the Indian federal state of Maharashtra since September
2007.
 Audi cars price starts at Rs. 28.99 lakh for the cheapest car A3
and goes up to Rs. 9 crore for the top model Audi A8L Security.
