When a food business operator deems a food unsafe for human consumption, they must notify the food safety authority. The notification should include details of the company and contact person, a description of the affected food including batch information and quantity, the nature of the problem, investigation findings, distribution details, and proposed or taken actions. The notification allows the authority to initiate a recall if the food has left the initial operator's control.
