Developing habits for a healthy & harmonious lifestyle training course
2. SUMMARY
The focus of “LIVE IN BALANCE: Developing habits for a healthy lifestyle training
course” is to increase awareness of the relationship between mind, body & spirit through a
combination of various techniques and activities that are designed to teach the core features of a
balanced lifestyle for youth workers, youngsters and anyone else who are interested in healthy
lifestyle & self-development. Our target group is young people from 6 countries who seek to
improve their daily habits in their personal and working environment. We offer workshops,
activities and techniques based on the notion of physical, mental and emotional connection to
build up and apply new habits that are essential to form a balanced lifestyle. The training course
is based on building a day-to-day habit to start the day devoting oneself a personal “power hour
“20min of exercise, 20 min of meditation and 20min of personal activities (reading/writing/etc
). The program consist of a repetitive establishment the “power hour” technique to help
youngsters build a habit to spend some time in self-awareness that can be implemented in their
daily lives. The “power hour” regime is the base of the training course taking place every day at
the same time constituting the core of the project to build the balance within oneself. Every day
after the core training the participants will have a schedule of different activities and workshops
through the week that are designed to teach and share the tools & best practices to establish a
healthy and balanced lifestyle with a combination of intercultural insights. The participants will
learn to define their values and strengths, will become aware of the most effective relaxation,
time management, stress management techniques, will develop interpersonal skills through group
activities and games and will have an assessment of a creative performance presented on for the
final evaluation of the project.
The project is mutually beneficial for the participants and the general public as it aims to build up
a set of skills that lead to establishing a network of people who share a healthy and successful
mindset. The training course is designed to promote Erasmus + mobility program and establish
strong partnerships with other organizations across Europe.
AIM
The development of innovative skills & habits related to mind, body & spirit.
OBJECTIVES
Present the concept of the relationship between mind, body & spirit and the importance
of healthy habits (eating well, exercising) to the general well-being.
Introduce new techniques in relation with physical, emotional and mental well-being (live
in the present, be introspective, determine and live your personal value, identify and use
your individual strengths, discover your passion, get inspired, devote time for yourself,
“my time”)
Encourage physical activity and healthy nutrition on a daily basis (importance of the
physical activityin the daily life, for the balance of mind, body & spirit physical activities
and nutrition are indispensable)
3. Foster cultural awareness and collaboration among each other (since the participants are
from different cultures they are able to share their different techniques toward a balanced
life)
Develop healthy lifestyle habits and a positive mindset (the more you think positive the
more you make a lucrative decision)
Promote ERASMUS + program through establishment of partnership networks (widen
the horizon of the importance of ERAMUS + mobility program)
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Learning new techniques to understand oneself and others better
Develop new habits through the establishment of a daily regime (morning stretching,
meditation, reality-check etc.)
Learn emotional freedom techniques (emotional awareness & recognition, letting go off
the past)
Work in groups to improve one’s interpersonal skills & teamwork
Learn to express yourself and communicate freely in a multicultural environment
Gain time and stress management skills
Learn different concepts concerning spirituality and general well being
TARGET GROUP
Youth leaders, youth workers and other young people (between 18 and 35) who are interested in
developing their daily habits and lifestyle. Participants from Hungary, Poland, Lithuania, Italy,
Spain and the Netherlands gathering in Lithuania, Zuvyciu countryside 2018.08.20-2018.08.27
ACTIVITIES
Self discovery games and tests (who am I?)
Team building games
Morning meditation (power of hour)
Emotional intelligence training ( EQ, emotional freedom techniques, etc)
Physical activities (stretching, yoga, Pilates)
Workshops to understand how lifestyle impacts our physical and emotional state
Stress release activities
Learning of sleeping and relaxation techniques ( sleep cycles, body scan techniques)
Creativity techniques (creative writing, creative speaking, storytelling)
Visualization techniques (altered visualization techniques)
Setting your priorities ( priority “tree” exercise )
4. Setting your personal goals ( “ magic wand” technique)
Cooking classes ( make fast& healthy snacks& share nutritious diets)
Music, art & dance therapy ( discovering the hidden talents & strengths through music,
art of dance therapy)
Talent show (the grand event at the end of the training course- present your talent/ new
skill one wishes to share with the wider public)
TOOLS FOR DISSEMINATION OF RESULTS:
Develop a network of young healthy lifestyle promoters via social media and get more people
involved into similar projects. Encourage blogging (participants and those are willing to share
their experience it can be an opportunity for them) and establish a long-lasting relationship
between the partner organizations and promote the concept of healthy mindset & lifestyle among
youth workers. Social network such as Facebook or Instagram pictures, videos, articles can be
published. At the end of the training we are going to search for some internet newspapers who
can publish our articles.
