Introduction to Religion
 There has always been one
religion on this earth.
 From the time of prophet Adam
(AS) till today one true religion has
always existed and that is Islam.
 Judaism and Christianity are of
the religion of Islam. However, man has corrupted (what we call
today “Jidaism” and “Christianity”)
 The true teaching of this one religion has been revealed to us
today by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Who is Allah?
Before Adam (AS)
 Allah is the creator of every things, before Adam (AS)
Allah (SWT) created the universe. He also created the
angles and Jinn.
Creation of Universe:
“It is we who have build the universe with (our
creation) power and verify. It is we who are
steadily expending it.” (Quran Chap 51:47)
Angles & Jinn
Hazrat Aisha Reported that Allah messenger (PBUH)
said:
“The angles were born out of light and the
jinn's were born out of the spark of fire and
Adam was born as he has been defined (in the
Quran) for you (i.e. he is fashioned out of clay).
“
(Sahih Muslim: Book 42, Number 7134)
Creation Of Adam (AS)
Adam (AS) is the first human created. He is
the father of mankind
Creation Of Eva
One day Adam slept and when he awoke he found near his head,
a women gazing at his face. The angles asked his her name. he
reply “Eva (Hawa) .” (means living things). They asked “why
did you call her Eva?. Adam said that. “because she was create by
me and I am a living being.”
“O Mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord. Who created you
from a single person (Adam) And from him (Adam) He
created his wife (Eva), And from them both He created
many man & women.”
(Quran Chap 4:1)
“O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the Paradise and
eat both of you with pleasure and delight of things
therein as wherever you will. But come not near this
tree or you both will be of the Zalimeen(wrong
doers.).”
(Quran 2:35)
Iblis hate this human being, and he went to show that he is
better then this human being.
So Iblis came to them and said:
“your lord did not forbid you this tree except that you
become angles or become of the immortal And he
swore (by Allah) to them. Indeed, I am to you from
among the sincere advisor “
(Quran Chap 7:20-21)
So Adam & Eva ate from the tree
“Then there lord called out to them: ‘did I not forbid
“Allah said: ‘Go down; you are enemies
one of the other. For you there is
dwelling and provision on the earth for a
while.”
“He continued: ‘ you shell leave there,
and there shell you die, and from it you
shall be raised to life “
Life on Earth
On earth he had to face conflict and struggle. He had to
face the wild beast of earth and to protect his wife
As time went by, Hawa (AS) got pregnant many times.
Each time she got pregnant. It was twins, a boy and girl.
Allah revealed to Adam that the first set of twins should
marry to second set of twins. All the twins were a boy
and a girl. So the boy from the first pregnancy gets
married to the girl of second pregnancy, and the girl from
the first pregnancy gets married to the boy of second
pregnancy.
In this way life begins on the earth.
Messengers & Prophets:
 There were many Prophets and messengers sent throughout
time to mankind to inform us of Allah (SWT). For every
nation of every time, there had been a prophet informing about
Allah.
 Allah says in the Quran:
“ You, [O Muhammad] are not but a warner. We have
sand you with the truth as a bringer of good tidings and
tidings and a warner. And there was no nation but that
but that there had passed within it a warner.”
{Chapter 35 23-24}
Tree of Messengers & Prophets
Hazrat Musa (AS)
Who are Bani Israel ?
 Yaqoob (AS) grandson of Ibrahim (AS) from
Ishaque (AS).
They were in Canaan (Palestine).
Ibrahim (AS)
Ismail / Ishmael Ishaque / Isaac
Yaqoob/ Jacob
Also known as Israel
Canaan
Makkah
Yusuf (as
Yaqoob (as
11 other sons
 Hazrat Yaqoob (AS) and Hazrat Yusuf (AS) both died in
Egypt.
 The Bani Israel lived in prosperity in Egypt for a while.
Time passed by……
Slowly people changed. They
became wicked and stopped
worshiping Allah.
Egyptians also changed their
attitude towards bani Israel.
Some of the Egyptian started
looking at the Isrealities as
foreigners as they had come from Canaan.
They were later enslaved by the Egyptians and made
to work as laborers to construct the Egyptian
buildings
Pharaoh
 The king of the Egypt were called by the
name pharaoh.(According to some
historians, his name was Minfita).
 The king was an extremely cruel man.
“Certainly Pharoah was mighty on the earth and
one
who transgressed all bounds.”
(Surah Yunus : verse no. 10)
Then he collected (his man) and made a Proclamation:
Sayaing, “I am your Lord, most High”.
(surah An- Naazi, verse 23)
A Coptic priest told For’aoun:
“A child will be born among bani Isreal at
whose hands your Kingdom will be lost”
In range of madness Fir’aoun orders the killing
of all male children of Bani Israel!
“Verily, Fir’aun (Pharaoh) exaited himself
in the land and made its people sects,
weakening a group (I. e Children of isreal
) among them: killing their sons, and
letting their females love. Verily, he was
of the corruptors”
(Quran Al Qasas : 4)
Prophet Musa (AS)
In this difficult circumstance Musa was born in
1250 BC in Egypt.
His mother was scared of the scared rule.
Allah inspired the mother Musa.
“ And we inspired the mother of Musa: (telling)
“Suckle him (Musa), but when you fear for him,
the last him into the river and fear not, nor
grieve. Verily, we shell bring him back to you,
and shall make him one of (our) Messengers”
(Quran surah Qasas:7)
How Allah work out his plan:
“And the wife of Fir’aun said: “A comfort
of the eye for me and for you. Kill him
not, perhaps he may be of benefit to us,
or we may adopt him as a son ” And they
perceived not (the result of that)”
In the king’s place, Musa start growing up.
With comfort and luxury at his feet, Musa in fact grew
up as a prince
Allah wanted pharaoh to bring up the very child at
whose hands his kingdom would be lost!
Egypt to Midian
On the way, at mount Tur Musa sees a fire
(mount Tur is presently
Located in the Sinai
Peninsula of Egypt).
Tell his family to wait
and goes near the
fire.
Allah talks to Musa (AS)
 “But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: “O Musa!
 “Verily I am your lord! Therefore (in my preservice) remove your shoes:
your are in the second valley Tawa.
 I heaven chose you: listen then to the inspiration:
 Verily, I am Allah: there is no God but I: so serve you me (only), and
establish regular prayer for celebrating my praise.
(surah Taha: verses 11 – 14)
 Allah: “And what is that in your right hand, O Musa?”
 Musa: “it is my stuff (stick) : on it I lean; with it I
beat down fodder for my flocks and in it I find
other uses.”
 Allah: Throw it, O Musa!”
 Musa throws it and it becomes a live snake!
 Allah: Take it and fear not, we shell return it at once to its
formal condition.”
 Musa take it, and it reverted to what it was before – his staff!”
 Allah: “ Now draw your hand close to your side;
 It shell come forth white (and shining) without harm (or stain)
– as another Sign.”
 “In that order We may show you (two) of our greater signs.
 “Go you (O Musa) to Fir’aun, for he has indeed transgressed
all bounds.”
(surah Taha, verses 17 – 24)
 Fir’aun was furious and wanted to punish Musa (AS).
 Allah commanded Musa (AS) to take the people out of Egypt.
 When People came to the sea, by another
miracle, the sea was parted into two and
the bani Israel crossed.
 But when Fir’aun and his troops tried to
cross, the sea came together.
 In this way, Allah saved the bani Israel
Bani Israel in Sinai
 Musa (AS) went to Mount
Sinai to get the laws from
Allah (Torah) for 40 days
leaving his brother Prophet
Harun (Aaron) behind.

for them for those sin that
they had to kill the
polytheists among them

Israel refused to accept the Torah as
the word of Allah.
 Musa (AS) then chose 70 best
people to go with him to MT. Sinai.

to Allah, they demanded to see Allah
themselves.
 Allah punished them for this by
lolling them with lightning
 However due to prayer of H.
Musa, Allah revived them back to
life.

with the Bani Israel finally
reached the gates of

Introduction to Religion  There has always been one religion on this earth.  From the time of prophet Adam (AS) till today one true religion has always existed and that is Islam.  Judaism and Christianity are of the religion of Islam. However, man has corrupted (what we call today “Jidaism” and “Christianity”)  The true teaching of this one religion has been revealed to us today by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
  • 7. Before Adam (AS)  Allah is the creator of every things, before Adam (AS) Allah (SWT) created the universe. He also created the angles and Jinn. Creation of Universe: “It is we who have build the universe with (our creation) power and verify. It is we who are steadily expending it.” (Quran Chap 51:47)
  • 8. Angles & Jinn Hazrat Aisha Reported that Allah messenger (PBUH) said: “The angles were born out of light and the jinn's were born out of the spark of fire and Adam was born as he has been defined (in the Quran) for you (i.e. he is fashioned out of clay). “ (Sahih Muslim: Book 42, Number 7134)
  • 9. Creation Of Adam (AS) Adam (AS) is the first human created. He is the father of mankind
  • 10. Creation Of Eva One day Adam slept and when he awoke he found near his head, a women gazing at his face. The angles asked his her name. he reply “Eva (Hawa) .” (means living things). But come not near this tree or you both will be of the Zalimeen(wrong doers.).” (Quran 2:35) Iblis hate this human being, and he went to show that he is better then this human being. So Iblis came to them and said: “your lord did not forbid you this tree except that you become angles or become of the immortal And he swore (by Allah) to them. Indeed, I am to you from among the sincere advisor “ (Quran Chap 7:20-21) So Adam & Eva ate from the tree “Then there lord called out to them: ‘did I not forbid
  • 12. “Allah said: ‘Go down; you are enemies one of the other. For you there is dwelling and provision on the earth for a while.” “He continued: ‘ you shell leave there, and there shell you die, and from it you shall be raised to life “
  • 13. Life on Earth On earth he had to face conflict and struggle. He had to face the wild beast of earth and to protect his wife As time went by, Hawa (AS) got pregnant many times. Each time she got pregnant. It was twins, a boy and girl. Allah revealed to Adam that the first set of twins should marry to second set of twins. All the twins were a boy and a girl.
