Introduction
A pilot study is the first step of the entire research protocol and is often a
smaller-sized study assisting in planning and modification of the main study.
More specifically, in large-scale clinical studies, the pilot or small-
scale study often precedes the main trial to analyze its validity.
Here, I took a FMCG product PEPSI. It is one of the most selling soft drink all
over the world. The main competitor of PEPSI is COCACOLA. So, it is difficult to
compare the selling between those drinks. So, before starting market survey I
did a pilot study about PEPSI at shops of Chandapura Market.
In this study I compared PEPSI with four different drinks. Those are COCACOLA,
FANTA, MIRINDA and MOUNTAIN DEW. Out of those drinks two drinks taken
from PEPSI and two from COCACOLA.
This study also included which age group consume more PEPSI and which
gender people consume more PEPSI.

Conclusion
After this pilot study I got to know that in Chandapura market male is the main
customer of PEPSI. Out of 10 shop 8 shopkeepers told that male is the main
customer. Fanta and Mirinda not doing the business. Also Mountain Dew is not
doing the good business. But Mountain Dew has better Market share than
Fanta and Mirinda. Three shopkeeper told more than 50 customers come in a
day for PEPSI And also another three shopkeeper told more than 50 customers
come in a day forCOCACOLA. So, I can conclude that Chandapura market PEPSI
and COCACOLA both are the main soft drink.
