2. Scope of java in electronics
Java apps are used to control electronics devices like Edge Follower Robot
, Line Follower Robot etc.
Java is the base of new technologies like Android, .Net, Big Data etc.
Java platform independency feature is the core idea of IOT.
As an open standards-based platform, Java provides code portability in IoT
environments.
Java can power the world of compute resources with ubiquitous
connectivity in the coming decades.
4. EXAMPLES from real world
Honda currently launched a maintenance app for its high end vehicles
which will automatically monitor the vehicle and tell you when it needs
service.
Home Automation apps to control home appliances.
Smartphones having ARM7 microprocessors runs on Android(Java
Operating System).
Big Data the latest technology uses Java like Amazon, Flipkart data
Management system.
5. CAN you imagine iot without java??
What is IoT really? IoT is about collecting and managing massive amounts of data
from a rapidly growing network of devices and sensors, processing that data, and
then sharing it with other connected units to make real time decisions.
The basic demand of IOT is platform independent systems. This platform
independency is provided by java which was not possible in case of C language.
Java, with code portability is a natural fit for developing of emerging IOT
technologies.
6. Java over embedded c
a. Java is platform independent language
b. Java security feature is the main reason for its popularity over Embedded C
c. Java based programs can be burned in any microcontroller to any
embedded system board like raspberry pi , Edison board etc.
7. Introduction to java
Java :Java is Platform Independent, Secure, Object Oriented, User Friendly and widely used
Programming Language.
It consists of two parts:
The Java Virtual Machine (JVM)
Java Virtual Machine is run time environment to execute the java programs.
The Java Application Programming Interface (Java API)
The Java API is a large collection of ready-made software components that provide many
useful capabilities, such as graphical user interface (GUI) widgets. The Java API is grouped
into libraries of related classes and interfaces; these libraries are known as packages.
8. History of JAVA
James Gosling and Sun Microsystems
Initially named OAK
Java, May 20, 1995, Sun World
HotJava
The first Java-enabled Web browser
Now Owned by Oracle.
JDK Evolutions ( Java Development Kit )
9. Simple Java Program
//This application program prints Welcome
//to Java!
public class Welcome
{
public static void main(String args[])
{
System.out.println("Welcome to Java!");
}
}
10. Introduction to Project :
Project Overview
Project Name : Hotel Management System
Institute : DUCAT,NOIDA
Front End: Java Swings, AWT
Tool: NetBeans IDE 8.0.2
Back End : SQL SERVER
11. ABSTRACT
This project aims at creating an Hotel Management system which can be
used by customers to reserve hotel rooms.
Users can check the availability of rooms and facilities.
The users can register and log into the system.
The administrator will know the details of reservations .
12. EXISTING SYSTEM
In the existing system, the person who wants to book a room has to visit
the hotel for booking hotel rooms, and enquiry.
The existing system is manual system.
The hotel management has to keep records of rooms manually.
13. DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING
SYSTEM
It is a time consuming process.
There is no surety of availability of rooms.
Paper work results in need of lot of space to keep the data.
Lack of security.
Chances of human errors.
14. PROPOSED SYSTEM
To overcome the problems of manual system, online hotel management
system is proposed.
The Central objective of Online Hotel Management is to provide online
facility for booking rooms.
This software can manage and keep records of hotel.
15. ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED
SYSTEM
Saves time of customers in quickly reserving rooms.
The ability to book rooms anytime, from anywhere with Internet access.
Provides the information about hotel facilities.
very secure.
User friendly.
16. SYSTEM ANALYSIS
This project is used by two types of users (modules).
1)Online Users
2)Administrator (management of the Hotel)
17. USER MODULE
Check room availability.
Fill registration form.
Can login with his/her own user id and password.
Get facilities of hotel like restaurant.
Get information about reserved rooms (if room is already reserved).
Can cancel booking .
