Col Gill quotes 1999-2000 friend's article in Pakistani newspaper
1. I was pleasantly surprised to see my 1999-2000 friend Col Gill quote my article in Pakistans Daily
Nation newspaper ( Pakistans most influential because of slanted agenda and not paying those
2. who write most quoted articles on its oped pages-This paper of crooks never paid this scribe for
over 50 articles published on its OPED and Editorial pages between 2001 and 2011) in the NATO
DEFENSE COLLEGE research paper titled as below:--
3. It has been my great honour to know Colone Gill of US Army through Society of Military
History of USA since about 1999. He was one of the first persons who bought my book
“Pakistan Army till 1965” around 2000 and was in communication with me when he wrote
his monumental “Atlas of 1971 India Pakistan War” where he quoted this humble scribe
also in his list of acknowledgements.
Colonel Gill quoted this scribe on page-336 of the above mentioned and quoted NATO
College publication in footnote below :--
As a student of history and as one who saw the Pakistan Army 1st
Armoured Division
confronting Exercise Brasstacks closely in 1987 , this scribe wants to share some personal
reminiscences as well as observations back in 2001 when the above quoted article was
published.
The article was well received by serious military historians and earned this scribe powerful
enemies in Pakistans military and intelligence establishment who made life more difficult
4. than it was prior to publication of an article in a newspaper for which a newspaper owned
by certified crooks known for not paying journalists !
This scribe is reproducing the article below as Gills quoting it does not help a serious
historian as “Nation” Lahore does not have a website where old articles can be accessed.
