the book--will be delivered.

Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of

1. Daniel might have used the Esther experience to approach the King
uninvited. (Esther 4:16)
2. When got a “Temporary reprieve” from the King, invited his friends
to unite in prayer. (Chinese proverb: “many hands make light work”)

3. Christ asked His disciples to watch and pray with Him, Matt. 26:41
4. The Disciples were UNITED in prayer before the outpouring of the

2. With Stephan, that prayer was answered with an assurance of

• The king honour as per his promise in
chapter 2:6 where he promised gifts and
rewards to whomever would tell him his
dream and interpret it.
• The Babylonian “Wise Men” failed, and
their lives were saved by “the foreigners”
Daniel and his friends.
• The same showed off their God as
superior, able to reveal the secrets!

• There was a plot against “The Jews”.
How do we know about this? Read
verse 8
• Now Lay out the plot as best as you

• Why do you think the ASTROLOGERS
denounced the Jews?
• They were captives; Verse 12a
• They worshipped a foreign God to the
Babylonians’. Verse 12b
• The king had put them over them as

• The king got very angry, verse 13a. Why do you
think that was so? Verse 14.
• This king thought of himself as powerful as
gods. How do we know this? Verse 15b “… then
what god…”
• These Hebrew men understood that they WERE
NOT the targets here. How do we know that?

• This Chapter pertains to the TRUE WORSHIP OF
THE GOD OF ISRAEL. How is He worshipped?

• What is the result of DEPENDING ON GOD EVEN
