A resource for visual aids

2. My Experience
I really like the idea of Boardmaker, however I found the actual process of
making materials frustrating and slow. It could be my computer, but my
computer is only a few years old. I found the program loaded very slowly and
didn't save my projects correctly or didn't save them at all.

3. This was my first attempt:
• This is how it saved…it didn’t.

4. I recreated my project
• In my first attempt I added the captions. This time I left them out because the lag
time with typing was frustrating.
• This is a pictorial sequence for hand washing. It can be used for preschool, ELL or
special education.

5. Next Project – Small Talk
• I thought of making a conversation starter script for my next project. I don’t
think the red instructions show up in the final version, but I took the screen
shot before I hit save because I didn’t want to loose my work again. Here is
the draft of the project:
