Self Reliant Learning means the
learners themselves are
responsible for their own way of
learning and the results.

4. Why Self Reliant is important??
"The objective of the vocational stream is
to meet the need for skilled and middle
level manpower and to prepare students
for self-reliance and gainful employment
with employable skills in the areas of
home science and computers & IT. This
will allow students to move ahead for
higher skill studies either vertically or
laterally in the specific streams,"

Student-centered teaching methods shift the
focus of activity from the teacher to the learners.
These methods include active learning, in which
students solve problems, answer questions,
formulate questions of their own, discuss,
explain, debate, or brainstorm during class.

Teacher plays Passive role while student play active roll
in Self Reliant Learning.
By self reliant learning process student will learn how to
set goals, how to plan their work, how to make decisions,
how to execute, monitor and evaluate their work

8. Assignment
The definition of an assignment is a task that has been
given to someone.
An example of an assignment is homework given to a
student.

3. A position or post of duty to which one is assigned.
4. something that has been assigned, such as a mission
or task.

The most important function of assessment sheet is to
provide the opportunities for the trainees to judge and
access their activities (individually or in a team)and the
results of their learning and work processes.

Assessment can be used not just to measure learning, but to
promote learning.
