This document discusses self-reliant learning, which refers to learners taking responsibility for their own learning and results. It notes that the goal of vocational education is to prepare students for self-reliance and employment. Student-centered teaching methods shift the focus from the teacher to active learning by students. Self-reliant learning involves students setting goals, planning, making decisions, and evaluating their own work with teachers playing a passive role. Assessment sheets are used to provide opportunities for trainees to judge their individual and team activities and learning outcomes. Teamwork involves cooperative efforts toward a common goal and has benefits like faster accomplishment of tasks and problem solving.
