Lyrics and Visuals –
Examples of the visuals complimenting the lyrics:
- “In a happy home
I was a king, I had a golden throne” shows visuals of the artist/band performing at a gig
which infers from the lyrics that the ‘golden throne’ refers to the stage the artist performs
on. As well the reference to being a ‘king’ is suggested that this is due to the popularity and
devotion of fans which is shown through the visuals.
- “Those days are gone,
Now the memory's on the wall” visuals cut from the gig scene to the open ocean and the
band being on a boat, the soft lighting and handheld shots infers that it’s a memory which
links with the lyrics.
