Searching WWW!!!
Quick Tips Search is always case insensitive. Punctuation is ignored, including @#$%^&*()=+[]br />Use nouns as query keywords. Never use articles ("a," "the"), pronouns ("he," "it"), conjunctions ("and," "or") or prepositions ("to," "from") in your queries Avoid redundant terms
Phrase search ("") By putting double quotes around a set of words, you are telling Google to consider the exact words in that exact order without any change
Search within a specific website (site:) The query [ iraqsite:nytimes.com ] will return pages about Iraq but only from nytimes.com.
Terms you want to exclude (-) Indicates that you do not want pages that contain this word to appear in your results In the query [ anti-virus software ], the minus sign is used as a hyphen and will not be interpreted as an exclusion symbol; whereas the query [anti-virus -software ]
Fill in the blanks (*) Wildcard Tells Google to try to treat the star as a placeholder for any unknown term(s) and then find the best matches The query [ Obama voted * bill ] will give you stories about different votes on different bills
Search exactly as is (+) By attaching a + immediately before a word, you are telling Google to match that word precisely as you typed it Remember, don't add a space after the +
Boolean Basics AND - means "I want only documents that contain both/all words.“ OR means "I want documents that contain either word; I don't care which.“
