 IIMANIIMAN is “Belief or Faith” to something beyond sense
perception, termed as “ - al-ghayb” meaning “the
unseen”.
 It is derived from the root word “ ” which also means
“safety, peace, security, protection”
 It denote: “certainty of the ultimate truth”, adherence to it
instils sense of “security in him” from doubts, uncertainty,
restlessness etc.

 Yet from Islamic perspective “iiman” cannot be by mere blind
acceptance devoid of proof or substantiation i.e. Believe or
faith must be with knowledge.

We do acknowledge a category of people whoWe do acknowledge a category of people who

These are the people gifted with insights and inspiredThese are the people gifted with insights and inspired
with knowledge of the physical world. We call themwith knowledge of the physical world. We call them

Yet there is another category of people, who came inYet there is another category of people, who came in
different place and time, yet all claimed to havedifferent place and time, yet all claimed to have
received Divine communication, asserted similarreceived Divine communication, asserted similar
universal message of God, of man’s moral obligation,universal message of God, of man’s moral obligation,
of the life in Hereafter etc.of the life in Hereafter etc.
They delivered a message which transcend knowledgeThey delivered a message which transcend knowledge
of this physical world, inviting mankind towards Faithof this physical world, inviting mankind towards Faith
in the One God. These are the “in the One God. These are the “ProphetsProphets.”.”

The word “Nabi” means
“prophet” refers to a male
person who receives divine
inspiration, to assist them
in guiding the people
based upon code of life
which had already been
conveyed by earlier
Messengers (Rasul).

Meaning “preserved, protected from sinning against
Allah”, although they all have human frailties and
weaknesses.
We reject all falsehood and slander made or even
insinuated against every prophets of Allah, upholding
their honour and dignity. Especially those found in the
Bible.
