3. Building our future, together. What is the district requesting? A $20.275 million bond proposal on May 4 that would require no increase in the current tax rate of 6.63 mills. This proposal is based upon the input we received from hundreds of Zeeland parents, staff, students, and citizens in the fall of 2008. Our original estimate for meeting the district’s needs totaled $27 million. That package has been reduced by about $7 million. 2010 Bond Proposal
