• Time commitment: Not huge
(come to most meetings, come up with ideas, help plan
things)
• Being an officer means being more deeply involved
in improving the ties among the U of A’s vibrant
international community and between international and
domestic students!

6. ELECTIONS ARE COMING!
RULES
• An event will be posted in the Facebook group
(remember, http://www.facebook.com/groups/mtwua)
• Announce your candidacy, specifying the position you’re
running for.
• Write a few sentences about yourself and why you would like to
run for the post.
• Likes = votes
• You can also come up to one of the current officers (Jie,
Junxiao, Natalia, me) with a folded slip of paper indicating the
name and position of the person you’re voting for.

7. ELECTIONS ARE COMING!
RULES (cont.)
• If there’s more than 1 candidate running for a position, the one
with more total votes (likes + ballots) will be the winner.
• The election group on Facebook will be open for 2 weeks (until
Sunday, December 1)
• If you WANT to help ISA expand and become THE place for
incoming international students, chances are you’d make a
great officer 
