2. How Can this project help Community?
• It can help bring awareness of local charities.
• It can help local charities raise much needed
funds in a simple way.
• By bringing the community together you
bring people that want to do more.
• Help much needed funds be raised by local
businesses that need people in there stores.
3. Things you need to have for this
community model to work.
• Pick a local charity that you and others are willing to support. Local charities can be found on
www.utahnonprofits.org
• Find a few people that would like to help you with the charity event.
• Find a local place that is willing to support the event and either lower the rental fee or allow
you to use it for free.
• Go to local businesses and try and see if they are willing to give you anything from their store
or overstock that would help you give out prizes. This also helps that business get there name
out in the community as someone that supports charity.
• If needed work out some volunteers to sell or help with food/drink for the night.
• Make sure you have plenty of upfront cash that can be used to help give people extra bills to
use through the night.
4. Events that can be anything that you see as
fun examples would be.
• Bingo
• Fancy dinner night
• Local car wash
• Bar raffle night
• Local festivals
• Holiday event
• Birthdays
• Anniversaries
• Halloween
Its all up to how creative you can be.
5. For my event i chose to
work with Utah Cyber
Sluts Bingo

6. Advantages of bingo
• Get many people in and supporting.
• Only have to come up with the amount of prizes you are willing to
give out.
• People will take care of them selfs because the game is so well known.
• Clean up and take down of the event is simple.
• Many people listen when you speak about local information.
• Very inexpensive to hold an event with many people attending
• Allows a place for the charity to speak to many people in a short
amount of time.
• Large amount of cash can be raised with extra fun stuff added to the
night.
8. Fun things added to
help raise money.
• Anytime a person does a party fowl they must stand up (wear a funny wig) and
help raise more money from the audience to make up for making a mistake (all
in fun of course). Audience gives anything they want and places it in persons
hand, basket, shirt , or top as they dance up and down the rows to music.
• Party fowls
• Hands on table at mid games
• Winning more then 2 games in a night
• Using your cell phone
• Calling bingo when you don’t really have have it
9. Constructive Results of
doing this.
When I first stated with the group the bingo was attended but just by
locals. We opened this up to more people by changing locations about 5
years ago. In that time the event has grown from about 30 people
attending to about 300 people attending. We have outgrown 3 spaces in a
matter of 5 years. By others taking on that simplest module of having
fun and giving out prizes and showing the audience a great time big
things can come of it. When I started with the group the idea of making
300 Dollars in a night was large. Now we help make about 3000 dollars a
night and that all go out to local charities. Things are not perfect but it is
an always changing event. Never do the same thing every month and
change the theme every month and let people dress up for it.
