Making my film website design
1.
2. After analysing all the appropriate conventions that make a good
film website (see previous presentation) I have managed to
create my own website design. This was achieved on Adobe
Photoshop, and I have since put it on Dreamweaver so it has
the internet format.
In terms of designing, this was the pre-set on Photoshop to
create a blank template:
3. Navigation bar
Film title as same font as poster
Social networking
buttons
Billing box copied from poster Production logos
from poster
Main picture
similiar to film
poster’s
TRAILER SPACE

4. FEEDBACK FROM PEERS
===Red pattern within the main title doesn’t work considering
this particular design wasn’t present in the poster
(therefore consider removing red lines)
In the film poster, actors’ names were present... Maybe this
should also be shown on the website?
Good sized navigational bar with pages, and placing is also
appropiate.
Picture not the same as film poster? Maybe this should be
the same.

WEBSITE DESIGN DRAFT
FEEDBACK FROM TEACHERS
=== in keeping with design theme of the poster.
Incorporates all the necessary components of a good website.
Particularly good social media icons.
Improvements:
Move around the component parts in order to make a more coherent whole.
Shrink the billing box
Maybe add star ratings and reviewers like you did in the poster
Consider changing the image so it’s the same as the poster
Use layering to incorporate the title in a more subtle way – think about the
smoke on your title in the poster, which is really well done.
Once you’ve shrunk the billing box/critics, you should be able to incorporate the
image much more effectively. A tip: think about the borders of the red image
and consider how the other things on the page reflect to this.
Maybe add a terms and conditions/copyright info at the bottom to make it look
more professional?
