The cybercrime police on Thursday arrested a person on charges of harassing a girl by sending abusive mails and
morphing nude pictures to the girl.Police arrested Rapolu Prabhakar Rao, a civil engineer-cum-businessman from
Chandanagar, whose 22-year-old son, Sandeep, is a software engineer at a small IT firm in Madhapur.
Reports indicate that Sandeep fell in love with his colleague, who is 26-year-old. When he sought his father’s
blessings, the latter refused the alliance because of the age difference. Angered at his father’s refusal, Sandeep
left his father’s house, last November.
Subsequently, the woman got married to someone. Prabhakar Rao developed a grudge against his son’s ex-
girlfriend and decided to take revenge on her. He created a fake profile on Facebook with nude pictures as profile

He first created a fake Facebook profile and then sends her a request .On being accepted as a friend, he started
sending her abusive messages, and even uploaded morphed pictures of her. He soon got details of her, her
relatives and other family members and started sending them abusive messages and obscene photos. Rao and he
was arrested from his house and a computer was seized from the culprit a and remanded in judicial custody
Police have registered a case against him under sections 66 (A, C & D) of the IT Act, 2000.
