- Thanks OK,Let me introduce the next type of websites named social network. A social network is a social structure made up of individuals or organizations based on friendship or other relationships . It can be subdivided into four groups which are SNS bolg Mironblog and froum.Here are the typical examples of the different types of social network
- The first one is Facebook. Facebook is the most famous SNS which has more than 750 million active users and is valued more than 65 billion dollars. Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates in Harvard. It is based on the theory of six degree of separation A According to the theory, you can contact anyone through at most 6 people. Last year there were a famous film named social network which told us about the process of the foundation of Faccbook
- In China, there is a brother of Facebook. That is RenRen. . Google also want to take a share of the big cake of SNS. So they deliver the new product Google+
- Blog and MicroBlog Users of the traditional form of bolg find that it is a waste of time to write a lot of long articles, so Twitter and weibo are borned. Twitter is an online service that enables its users to send and read text up to 140 characters and images. Sina Weibo is a Chinese version of twitter.
- The next one is froum. As you kown, in tianya and tieba people can discuss problems on certain topics.
- The next big group is Entertainment websites which focus on a specific types of resources such as game, music, movie, picture and software.
- Knowledge websites consists of wiki site,Q&A site and scholar site A wiki is a website that allows the creation of any number of web pages related to some entry using a simplified text editor. Q&A website provide a platform for users to come up with questions and post answers. Scholar sites include citation index for science and engineering such as SCI EI and Springerlink. They are very power tools to do research.
